<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the improvement of the penetration and the fixability of a pigment into/to a printing object while ensuring the printing characteristics of an ink for inkjet printing by blending a water-base pigment ink composition for inkjet printing with a specified penetrant and a specified emulsion. <P>SOLUTION: This new ink composition excellent in the penetration and fixability of the pigment is characterized in that it is obtained by blending a water-base pigment ink composition for inkjet printing, comprising essentially three constituents i.e., a pigment, an aqueous dispersion medium and a dispersant with essentially a specified penetrant comprising acetylene glycol or its derivative, and a specified emulsion comprising a polyurethane based resin emulsion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
