The seal has a basic part which on one side has an anchor foot and on the other side a weather-side sealing bulge with a hollow chamber and a sealing lip facing the room interior. The sealing bulge (10) on its outer surface (16) facing the weather side (12) carries at least one edge strip (17) of harder material than that in the remainder of the profile seal. Pref. the harder edge strip (17) extends over the complete width of the outer surface (16) of the sealing bulge (10) facing the weather-side. On the outside (16) of the sealing bulge (10) facing the weather-side (12) two parallel edge strips sepd. from one another by a longitudinal seam are arranged. USE/ADVANTAGE - For sealing glazing in windows and doors. The collapse of the weather-side outer surface of the sealing bulge in the corners is prevented.
