<p>PURPOSE:To save labor by enabling a means which regulates the movement of a side guide regulating the lateral movement of a sheet, or releases regulation on the movement of the side guide, to be automatically set in a device main body as a specified cassette is mounted on the device main body. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed cassette 12 is detachably provided for a device main body 10 wherein the cassette 12 thus employed moves a side guide 28 on a center basis, which is installed on each rack plate 30 with one pinion 31 meshed with the two parallel rack plate 30. Meanwhile, a presser member 37 is provided within the device main body 10, which is elastically pressed on pinion 31 or the rack plate 30 when the paper feed cassette 12 is mounted thereon, and a high friction member 38 is provided for the presser member 37 wherein the high friction member regulates the movement of the pinion 31 or the rack plate 30. And the movement of the pinion 31 or the rack plate 30 is regulated by the friction of the high friction member 38, so that the movement of the side guide 28 is thereby regulated.</p> |
