<p>The cistern (1) has an outlet (3), a stopper (4) and a mechanism to control the stopper. It also has a means of interrupting the flow once the control knob (6) is released, consisting of a weight (8) which increases the weight of the stopper. The weight forms part of a piston (12) which travels along a cylindrical chamber (14); the upper part of the chamber exerts a certain friction force on the piston, while the lower one exerts no friction, since it has a broader section from mid-height.
