PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the title food product containing a transverse, fibrous striated matrix which effectively cleans the teeth of a pet at the time of chewing without using a coating die which is expensive and easy to damage by using a specificly constituted device. SOLUTION: At first, the mixture of pet food component including fiber containing component is supplied for the inlet of an extruder barrel constituting a pet food producing device to advance to an outlet by a screw. Next, after a mixture flow supplied for a die assembly 22 from the outlet of the barrel is flow-stabilized through a first spacer plate 34, discontinuous fiber orientation is given into a flow through the plural annular openings 48 of a breaker plate 36. Continually, after fibers in the mixture flow are oriented in a continuously oriented state by allowing the mixture flow to pass through a second spacer plate 35, the fibers are allowed to pass the plural oriffice of a die plate 37 to induce a laminar flow state in the mixture flow to obtain a fiber striated extrudate, which is dried finally. |
