The self-supporting roof truss is made from several half round ogival roof beams. Each truss, constituted by two half beams (1) and a curved strut (2), is assembled on site by four bolts (3). Each half beam is formed by a central composite plastic web (4) of square section which is arched on stone. This arching which gives the final external profile of the building is reinforced and held in shape by nailing onto the two side faces two wooden planks (5). This provides a beam caisson enabling later insulation of the building. The composite web can be directly placed on site and is anchored by placing it in the foot of a beam or rafter.
