摘要 The thermostat valve (4) controlling coolant flow through the cooler (5) is regulated between maximum and minimum values assisted by an optionally flowed heat storage (3) so when the coolant flow temperature equals or exceeds that of the minimum regulated temperature which may be 3 deg. If the regulated valve value falls, the storage is kept out of the flow. In this case, a circulating pump (P2) allocated to heat storage and its parallel heat exchanger (2) is cut out, assuming there is no heat demand on the exchanger. The coolant temperature may be found in the proximity of the engine and the heat storage temperature is taken as the coolant temperature at the storage outlet (7). Thus should the valve value fall from 105 deg C to 90 deg C in a case where the storage is at 95 deg due to incomplete loading, valves (2,3) are kept shut whilst the thermostatic valve value is lowered.
