Heating system water filter assembly

摘要

Filter assembly removes ultra-fine sludge from preferably water in a central heating system. The novelty is that: (a) the filter incorporates a number of metal baffle panels (10) arranged in a series of chicanes; (b) magnets are affixed to the baffle panels providing a horizontal magnetic field with respect to the vertical flow of water (11); (c) the assembly has a perforated baseplate straddling the lower edges of the chicane baffle panels and over (12) a sediment collection pan; (d) a double-walled filter gauze immediately precedes the water outlet (13); (e) the magnetic fields and the filter gauze are incorporated in the same assembly; (f) the water flow is divided into two to force-meander between the baffle plates; (g) the magnets are able to with stand a temperature of 150 deg C without measurable drop in performance.
