PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an image with a contrast ratio that is lower than an image by making light source light inverted light source light of light quantity distribution that corresponds to an inverted image, irradiating a film frame and picking up the image of transmitted light source light. SOLUTION: The inverted image of each frame image of a film 36 is projected on liquid crystal plates 22B, 22G and 22R and each color component light is irradiated with the inverted image and each frame image of the film 36 overlapped. A dark part of each frame image of the film 36 is irradiated with bright light of much light quantity and a bright part is irradiated with dark light of a little light quantity so that light quantity distribution can be adjusted. Thus, a telecine device 10 can output transmitted light L13 which corrects the difference of a contrast ratio when a frame image of the positive film 36 for showing is converted into a video image signal to a CCD camera 50 and produce a video image signal of a high quality based on an image pickup signal that corresponds to the contrast ratio of image pickup density. Also, it can adjust transmitted light quantity based on cut correction data S5R, S5G and S5B and perform fine control of a frame image. |
