SOLUTION: Two rails 1 are provided parallel to each other on a suspended frame 10 provided on the ceiling surface 12 of a building, etc. Also, exciting coils 2 are provided parallel along the rails 1 at a given interval on the suspended frame 10. A permanent magnet 5 is mounted on the outside surface of the side plate 4b of the body of a transport truck 4. The supporting rollers 8 mounted on the bottom surface 4a of the truck body is arranged inside grooves 1a of a channel shape to roll on the inside surface of the grooves 1a. Side rollers 3 roll on the outside surface of the rails 1. A linear motor made up of the exciting coils 2 and permanent coil 5 makes the transport truck 4 loaded with a cargo 7 travel freely on the rails 1.
