AQUEOUS BACTERICIDAL COMPOSITIONS BASED ON ALKYLBENZENESULFONATES AND N-PROPANOL

Aqueous compositions comprising a synergistic combination of n-propyl alcohol and linear alkylbenzenesulfonate, especially dodecyl benzene sulfonate which provides good germicidal efficacy against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria on hard surfaces and the like. Processes for the sanitization of hard surfaces wherein the presence of gram positive and/or gram negative bacteria is suspected, is also disclosed.
