The invention relates to an apparatus for continuously reeling a paper web (W), especially a high-loss magazine paper web, around a reel spool (68). The apparatus comprises means for guiding the paper web towards the reel spool, means for winding the paper web around the reel spool to form a paper roll (PR), and means for positioning the paper web on the roll (PR) in different axial positions with respect to said reel spool (68).
