The pipe has a smooth sealed outer skin (2), a porous inner layer (4) and a pointed end (5) created by heating a cut off end to the plastic softening point and forming a conical smooth outer skin (6). Independent claims are made for: a) a process for pipe production in which an extruded pipe is cut to length and reshaped at one end by a forming tool while in a plastic state; b) a forming tool for the process which has a circular forming groove in the pressure application face, the radially inner face of which is cylindrical and the outer face conical.
