The diffraction-optic actuation element includes an interrupted metallized layer and/or partially metallic layers, and/or zones with metallic layers on different planes which form intended applied data encoding. The device is supplied with a capacitative operating scanner which consists of multiple transmitting electrodes fitted next to each other, and one receiving electrode fitted parallel to that row. The scanner is mounted in a machine for document processing in such a way that the optical or mechanical sensors fitted in the standard document processing machines activate the control unit. The energy of the activated transmitting electrode at a given time, provides that there is electric conductivity between that transmitting electrode and the receiving electrode is connected in a capacitative manner. If there is no electroconductive element there is no energy transmission between the activated transmitting electrode and the receiving electrode. The signals of the receiving electrodes are converted into an appropriate type of the signal. The signal type depends on the structure of the metallized layer of the difractionally-optically activation element. The analyzation electronics mounted after the receiving electrode compares the signal type from the inspected object to the respective reference signals. 23 claims, 14 figures
