The catheter is a flexible tube with a double wall of elastic material. The space restricted by the double wall is divided in chambers connected along the catheter length in succession. The chambers are interconnected in individual groups, four in number (A, B, C, D). Each group is connected to a system which feeds it with a fluid. The fluid can run free from one chamber to another within the framework of one group. Each of the groups of chambers (A, B, C, D) can be made in the form of a spiral. In the walls of at least two of the chambers, the second and the fourth, can house filaments of nonelastic material the longitudinal axes of which are positioned perpendicularly to the section of the chamber. The second and the fourth chamber are made having a smaller radial and a larger axial size in comparison with the two other chambers. A biologically compatible liquid can be used as operational fluid. 5 claims, 5 figures
