摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic recording medium excellent in electromagnetic conversion characteristics in which the occurrence of cupping is prevented even when a nonmagnetic support is made thin. SOLUTION: A nonmagnetic support 1 comprises a first aromatic polyamide film composing the other major surface, and a second aromatic polyamide film formed thereon wherein inert particles contained in the first aromatic polyamide film are larger than those contained in the second aromatic polyamide film. The nonmagnetic support 1 has thickness of 2.0μm or above excluding the first aromatic polyamide film and a back coat layer 4 is formed on the other major surface thereof.
