This invention relates to a vehicle anti-theft security device for locking either or both the vehicle brake and clutch pedals against unauthorised use. The pedal lock includes a housing (14) for mounting in a vehicle cab above the pedal to be locked, an elongated locking bar (24) having a serrated rack (26) slidable in a first passage (16), in the housing, a pawl (36) which is located in a second passage (20) in the housing (14) for movement between a first position in which a first of its ends is engaged with the locking bar rack (26), a lock arrangement (54) on the housing which, on activation, moves the pawl and means (28) on the projecting end of the locking bar (24) for releasibly connecting the bar to a vehicle operating pedal. |
