<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical viewing apparatus for stereoscopic viewing capable of correcting the posture of an image while sufficiently assuring a parallax quantity and a stereoscopic image input optical system used for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The optical viewing apparatus comprises image input means 3 having a parallax, image converting means PC for converting the image in the parallax direction different from the parallax direction of the image input means 3 and stereoscopic image viewing means 5 for making the converted image stereoscopically viewable. The image input means 3 is formed with a front end 1 to a rod form of a small diameter and a front end optical system for capturing the image having the parallax is arranged at the tip of the front end 1 so as to have the parallax in the longitudinal direction of the image input means 3. The apparatus has also means E for detecting the parallax direction of the front end optical system 3 and the image converting means PC for converting the parallax direction of the front end optical system to the parallax direction of the stereoscopic image viewing means 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
