A mobile road-assist system comprising means for storing requested service received from a portable telephone of an insurance contractor, insurance contractor identification information, and information on the position of the portable telephone in a storage, means (124) for determining a service provider who provides requested service, means (126) for finding a person taking charge of the insurance of the insurance contractor, means (128) for notifying the portable telephones (13, 19) of the service provider and the person of the information on the position of the portable telephone and the telephone number by showing the visible data, and means (128) for notifying at least either the service provider or the person of the service request by means of speech, responding the instruction of at least either the service provider or the person notified of the service request, and establishing communication between the portable telephone (13/19) and the portable telephone (3) of the insurance contractor.
