<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine, a server and a remote control system in which the occurrence of an accident can be prevented and useless washing can be avoided. <P>SOLUTION: Remote control information presenting the application of remote control to a washing machine to be the object of the remote control is transmitted to the server by the user of the washing machine while using a portable information terminal owned by the relevant user. When the remote control information is received, the server transmits instruction information instructing the execution of the control presented by the remote control information to the washing machine. In response to this transmission, the washing machine performs operation in accordance with the instruction information received from the server. At such a time, when the relevant instruction information is photographing instruction information instructing photographing inside a washing tub, the inside of the washing tub is photographed by an incorporated camera and image information obtained thereby is transmitted to the server.
