<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hearing aid having a speech speed conversion function that identifies whether or not a picked-up voice is a voice uttered by a carrying person and provides an output as it is without conducting speech speed conversion when the voice is uttered by the carrying person. SOLUTION: A microphone 1 picks up a voice from a carrying person and extracts its characteristic and stores it to a carrying person voice characteristic storage area 13a. When a voice signal is picked up by the microphone 1 after that, whether or not the voice signal is uttered by the carrying person is discriminated based on the characteristic stored in the carrying person voice characteristic storage area 13a and when the voice is uttered by the carrying person, the voice signal is outputted as it is without conducting speech speed conversion processing. On the other hand, when the voice is uttered by a person other than the carrying person, the voice signal is subject to speech speed conversion processing and the resulting signal is outputted.</p> |
