The guides for a high-speed vertical shutter (1) raised by e.g. a horizontal motorized roller above the shutter, have side walls (2a) made from an elastically deformable material with a Shore hardness of 60-80, allowing them to bend and release the shutter in the event of an impact from one side. The base of each guide can be made from the same material as its side walls, or from a rigid material, and its inner surfaces have a low friction coating.
