PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling rock protective fence having a simple structure, reducing an execution cost, and improving a falling rock protective effect. SOLUTION: A plurality of horizontal rope materials 4 are installed on a column 2 rotatably erected via a hinge 22, and a protective net 3 is installed on the whole of the horizontal rope materials. A cushioning tool 8 is interposed between an end part of the horizontal rope materials and the column. A place except for both end parts of the horizontal rope materials is put in a free state to the column without interposing the cushioning tool. The protective net is formed of a plurality of wire rods, and an intertwisting part 31 is formed by intertwisting the mutual adjacent wire rods several times. The horizontal rope materials and the protective net are connected by a plurality of coil members 9.
