PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing zinc vapor from an atmospheric gas inside a galvanizing tank which inexpensively and smoothly enables a continuous, industrial-scale analysis of the atmospheric gas inside a galvanizing tank using an atmospheric gas analyzer. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 is equipped with a cooling device 2 having an atmospheric gas passage 11 for flowing the atmospheric gas G inside the hot dip metal-coating tank upward while cooling it, which is positioned above a plating bath 8 contained in the galvanizing tank, in combination with a solidified deposit-removing device 3 for removing a solidified product 12 of the metal vapor deriving from the atmospheric gas G cooled by the cooling device 2 and deposited on the inner surface 11a of the atmospheric gas passage 11 from the inner surface.
