PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting material which improves the defect that it is difficult for an MgB2 superconducting substance as a metallic compound to synthesize a high density material, therefore the volume fraction of superconduction in the material is low. SOLUTION: The superconducting material contains at least one selected from Be, Mg and Ca and at least one selected from B, C, N and Al, consists of at least three elements selected from the above elements and has >=25K Tc (critical temperature). The material is made of a thin film formed on a substrate and comprising at least one element M selected from Be, Mg and Ca and at least one element T selected from B, C, N and Al.
