PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which discharges ink particles from a nozzle of a head, can accurately detect the presence or absence of the discharged ink particles, and can attain high-quality recording. SOLUTION: The ink particles discharged from a discharge opening are made to directly reach a thin-film temperature detecting member formed on a resin substrate heated by a heater at a higher temperature than a temperature of ink, so as to cause a great change in the temperature of the temperature detecting member. Thus, in the recording device, the presence or absence of ink discharge can be accurately detected with a small quantity of ink and a little time before a start of use, and the high-quality recording can be done by correcting a part where the ink is not discharged. |
