PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize irregularity of each string. SOLUTION: In a packing method to pack a string of sheets having two base faces (6) formed by respective end sheets (3) of a string (2) formed by the sheets (3) laminated to form a rectangular basic square pole of a predetermined height (H), two side faces (7) intersecting at right angles with the base faces (6) and two end faces (8), the method comprises a process to feed the string (2) along a predetermined route (P) in a feeding direction (D1) parallel to the above each base face (6), a process to mount a short thin material (4) along the predetermined route (P) of the string (2) and intersecting at right angles with the feeding direction (D1) and a process to fold the short thin packing material (4) in a U-shaped form around the string (2) by carrying the string (2) and the short thin packing material (4) in the feeding direction (D1) via an oblong hole (67) for folding.
