<p>System for in-vivo positioning and orientation of an endoscopic capsule using cableless endoscopy comprises: a magnetic field generator (12) that is used to generate a high frequency 3D gradient field in an area to be examined; an endoscopy capsule with an integral receiver unit for determining the actual position and orientation-specific HF 3D field gradient value of the endoscopy capsule; a navigation unit (15) for spatial allocation of the actual HF 3D field gradient value and; a visualizing unit (8) for output of anatomic images with a defined position and orientation. An independent claim is made for a method for in-vivo positioning and orientation of an endoscopic capsule.</p> |
