Heat exchanger consist of two or more main parts (1,2,3). These are placed cup-shaped into each other to define exhaust gas and water-sided hollow chambers (7,10) for heat exchange via the part walls. The chambers have intakes and outlets for exhaust gas (11,12) and coolant water (4,5). All parts are clamped, screwed, or glued to form a flange parcel, via matching flanges (6,8,13). The main parts are of cast aluminum, pref. die cast, pref. by sand casting, lost-form casting, or gravity die casting process.
