PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a gas hydrate, by which the diffusion and dissolution of the gas in water and the removal of the production reaction heat can efficiently be carried out and by which an installation for the method can simply be compacted, and to provide the installation for the method. SOLUTION: This method for producing the gas hydrate, comprising reacting the raw material water with the raw material gas, is characterized by comprising a mixing and dissolving process for mixing the raw material water with the raw material gas in a line mixer in the middle of the line to dissolve the raw material gas in the raw material water, and a process for flowing and simultaneously cooling the mixed and dissolved product in a reaction pipe route 7 to produce the gas hydrate. The adoption of the reaction pipe route enables to cool the pipe route from its periphery, whereby the simplification and compactification of the installation can be realized.
