PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to freely select a data type of content to be reproduced and to enable correspondence to a case when the data type of content desired by the user varies at any given time. SOLUTION: A transmitting and receiving section 51 receives a content list in which a content name and addresses, on a network 10, of a plurality of contents of different data types corresponding to the content name are described in a meta language for creating meaning for an element and an attribute using tags, and a data management section 56 receives contents through the network 10 for respective addresses recognized by analyzing the meta language of the content list, respectively, and causes a display section 53 to display the content name for each address to allow selection.
