<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital multifunction machine enabling a user to easily extract required received document. <P>SOLUTION: In a step 30, the information of a device (e.g. a line) receiving a document is acquired, added to the received document as document information and stored together with the document. In a step 31, paper discharge tray stage information corresponding to device information stored as a part of the document information is acquired on the basis of the device information and paper discharge tray specification information set up in a system memory by the user.
