A buffer stop having a light emitting portion is provided to let a driver find a parking area easily when parking a car, to let a mariner be aware of the boundary of the quay easily when bringing a ship alongside the quay and to guide the ship easily. A buffer stop having a light emitting portion includes a main body(20) having appointed height and length to support wheels of a parked car(100), a fixture fixing the main body to a concrete block of a parking lot at the quayside, a first light emitting portion installed at one side of the main body to let drivers be aware of the main body of the buffer stop, a second light emitting portion installed at the other side of the main body to let mariners of a ship come alongside the quay be aware of the boundary of the quay, and a light emitting unit(70) installed at the main body or the adjacent side and equipped with a power supply device to supply power to the first and the second light emitting portions, wherein the first and the second light emitting portions are provided with cover members coupled to two sides of each housing and having uneven inside surface for reflection of the external light, plural light emitting diode modules are installed at the housing correspondingly to the cover members and composed of high brightness light emitting diodes, reflection plate members are installed on the circumference of the light emitting diode modules to reflect the light emitted from the light emitting diode modules toward the cover members, and diffusion plates are installed between the cover members and the light emitting diode modules to diffuse the light emitted from the light emitting diode modules, thereby to prevent the core of the light from being emitted through the cover members.
