PLASMA ARC TORCH AND SCRUBBER WHICH USES THE PLASMA ARC TORCH

A plasma arc torch and a scrubber using the plasma arc torch are provided to prolong a cycle in which a waste gas treatment process is stopped in a scrubber using the plasma arc torch. A plasma arc torch comprises: a cathode rod(10) having a cusp formed on one end thereof to emit thermal electrons; a body(20) which supports the cathode rod, and in which a cooling water circulation pipe is formed; a first positive electrode(30) connected to a portion of the body adjacent to the cusp of the cathode rod to generate an initial arc discharge; a second positive electrode(40) which is connected to the body of a position spaced from the bottom side of the first positive electrode in a predetermined distance to maintain consistently the arc discharge that has been generated from the first positive electrode, and which is excellent in heat resistance; and a plasma gas supply pipe(50) for supplying a plasma generating gas between the first positive electrode and the cathode rod.
