<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that when the customer buys or rents a commodity, especially a video cassette or DVD software storing video information or the like displayed on shelves in a shop, a consumer cannot preview the content of the commodity. <P>SOLUTION: A commodity display shelf having a commodity display part, a plurality of scanner parts, and an information output part is provided. A storage unit storing information about commodity and a control server are connected through a network.
