PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence facilitating mounting work in mounting a fence body to posts. SOLUTION: The fence F is formed by hooking horizontal wire rods 12 of the lattice-like fence body 1 to hook members 2 mounted to the posts. The hook member 2 comprises a hook part 22 hooking the horizontal wire rod 12, and a mounting part 4 mounted to a vertical elongate hole 32 provided in the post 3. The mounting part 4 has a blade part 42 laterally projected from the tip of a neck part 41, and the lateral width dimension of the blade part 42 is shorter than the vertical dimension of the vertical elongate hole 32. The lateral width dimension of the neck part 41 is shorter than the lateral dimension of the vertical elongate hole 32, and the lateral width dimension of the blade part 42 is longer than the lateral dimension of the vertical elongate hole 32. The blade part 42 is inserted in the vertical elongate hole 32, and both lateral ends of the blade part 42 are locked to the lateral side edges of the vertical elongate hole 32.
