PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which can record location information in a header part of image data even indoors similarly to the outdoors. SOLUTION: A digital camera includes: an SDRAM 13 capable of storing location information; a location acquisition section 31 which acquires location information from a GPS receiver detecting a current location and stores the acquired location information into the SDRAM 13; and a location recording section 32 which stores a taken image by recording the location information stored in the SDRAM 13 in a header part of image data when storing the taken image into a flash memory 16, wherein a mode control section 33 shifts a location information use mode in accordance with preset setting information.
