<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mashed soybean soup boiling apparatus enabling mashed soybean soup to be subjected to boiling treatment without using any defoaming agent by effectively eliminating foams produced in boiling the mashed soybean soup, and to provide a method for boiling the mashed soybean soup. <P>SOLUTION: The mashed soybean soup boiling apparatus has the following structure: a boiling vessel A1 comprises a vessel body 1 for holding mashed soybean soup therein, a steam feed pipe 2 for boiling the mashed soybean soup, and a defoaming device 3 for eliminating foams produced in boiling the mashed soybean soup; the defoaming device 3 comprises a suction port 362 provided against the level side of the mashed soybean soup, a covering member 32 containing an impeller functioning to suck and eliminate foams from the suction port 362, and a discharge path 37 through which the mashed soybean soup produced by eliminated foams is returned onto the level surface of the mashed soybean soup; an air intake port 15 via which air is taken into the vessel body 1 is provided at a desired position on the upper part of the peripheral wall of the vessel body 1, and an essentially upright tubular steam discharge section 17 is set at a desired position on a lid member 16 located on the top of the vessel body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
