PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic leveling control system for a construction machine, and its control method. SOLUTION: In this automatic leveling control system for the construction machine, a lower frame equipped with a traveling means, and an upper structure are combined to each other via a tilting means. The automatic leveling control system comprises: a sensor which is composed of a gradient sensor provided in the construction machine so as to sense an angle of the torsion of the lower frame and the upper structure with respect to a reference plane, a traveling sensor for measuring a traveling speed of the construction machine, and a working device sensor for detecting information on the working state of a working device; a control section which receives the angle of the torsion, the traveling speed and the working state information which computes a correction angle for tilting the upper structure with respect to the lower frame, and which generates a control signal for providing instructions on the actuation of an actuator depending on the correction angle; and a driving section which receives the control signal, and performs leveling control by the actuator.
