PURPOSE: A video encoding method using a multiple reference frame and a computer readable medium recording the method are provided to perform encoding at high speed by the multiple reference frame. CONSTITUTION: The number of reference frames of a current block to encode is determined based on information of an optimal reference frame of neighbor blocks of a pre-encoded previous frame and a current frame(S10). The size of a search area of the current block to encode is determined based on the information of the optimal reference frame of the neighbor blocks(S11~S14). Searching is performed according to the size of the search area and the number of the determined reference frame. A motion vector of the current block is calculated. |
