The hose cartridge (2) for removably mounting a hose on a peristaltic pump (1) comprising a roller wheel (3) for pumping a fluid through said hose generally describes a closed loop encircling an opening through which the roller wheel (3) extends when the hose cartridge (2) is mounted on a peristaltic pump (1) in a working position. The method for mounting such a hose cartridge (2) comprising a hose (h) onto such a peristaltic pump (1) comprises the steps of b) introducing a holding rod (17) of the peristaltic pump into a holding portion (7) of the hose cartridge (2); c) carrying out a rotational movement of the hose cartridge (2) about an axis (A) defined by the holding rod (17) until the working position of the hose cartridge (2) is reached. Therein, the holding rod (17) and the fixing bar (15) both extend substantially parallel to the rotation axis (R) of the roller wheel (3). |
