The present invention relates to a detent hood hinge. The detent hood hinge includes: a hinge bracket fixed to a vehicle body; a hinge arm wherein one end is connected to the hinge bracket to rotate and a hood is connected to the other end of the hinge arm; a detent bracket connected to the hinge arm, wherein a gliding hole is bored on one side of the detent bracket; a sleeve pin connected to the detent bracket to glide along the gliding hole, wherein one end is mounted to protrude from the gliding hole; a spring elastically transformed as the sleeve pin glides; and a lock stopper fixed to the hinge bracket and having a mounting groove. The sleeve pin glides along the surface of the lock stopper by the rotation of the hinge arm and can be mounted on or be separated from the mounting groove in accordance with a rotation angle of the hinge arm. The detent hood hinge can remove an existing stay rod and a gas spring and, therefore, can remove production costs. Also, the detect hood hinge can improve a freedom degree of an engine room by removing a mounting space of the stay rod and the gas spring. |
