PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional DC/DC converter which can perform step-up and step-down operation in both directions out of a forward direction, in which power is supplied from a primary DC voltage source to a secondary DC voltage source, and a reverse direction thereto.SOLUTION: The bidirectional DC/DC converter includes: a primary circuit 4 which includes a primary DC voltage source 2, a primary side smoothing capacitor 11 and a primary side conversion circuit; a secondary circuit 5 which includes a secondary side conversion circuit 7, a secondary inductor 10, a secondary side smoothing capacitor 12 and a secondary DC voltage source 3; and a transformer 19 connected between the primary side conversion circuit and the secondary side conversion circuit. The primary side conversion circuit includes an inverter circuit, composed of a switching element, and a rectifier circuit composed of a rectifier cell. The secondary side conversion circuit includes an inverter circuit, composed of a switching element, and a rectifier circuit composed of a rectifier cell. The secondary circuit further includes a switching circuit including a switching element. The bidirectional DC/DC converter further includes a bypass circuit disposed between the junction of the secondary DC voltage source with the secondary inductor and the secondary winding of the transformer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
