摘要 The invention relates to an optical article, preferably an ophthalmic lens, including a substrate, at least one of the main surfaces of which is coated with a coating comprising silanol groups at the surface thereof and, in direct contact with said coating, a precursor coating for an antifogging coating, the precursor coating for the antifogging coating being formed by depositing, on the coating comprising silanol groups at the surface thereof, at least one compound A having a polyoxyalkylene group and at least one group capable of establishing a covalent bond with a silanol group, wherein the precursor coating for the antifogging coating includes an inner portion in which said compound A is grafted to the coating comprising silanol groups at the surface thereof, and an outer portion that can be removed by washing and/or wiping, which results from the deposition of the compound A, the precursor coating for the antifogging coating being coated with at least one temporary layer including at least 50 wt.% of silica relative to the total weight of the temporary layer. Such an article is rendered suitable for edging by the presence of the temporary layer. The invention also relates to an edging method and to a method for preparing said article.
