Protective element for the hand in carrying bags with handles or the like, consisting of a body (1) appreciably parallelopipedic provided on one of its sides with a lengthwise groove (2) designed to hold the handle of the bag or bags and on the opposite side a series of parallel grooves (5) designed to fit with the fingers of the user, being finished on the edges of the upper ends in a rounded form to prevent the sharp edges from cutting into the handles of the bags.
