CATALYST LAYER FOR OXIDIZING CARBON MONOXIDE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING CARBON MONOXIDE BY OXIDATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance catalyst layer capable of selectively oxidizing a small amount of carbon monoxide, and a method for removing carbon monoxide by oxidation using the catalyst layer.

SOLUTION: The catalyst layer is used for removing carbon monoxide contained in a treated gas by oxidation and is composed of a first catalyst layer comprising a first noble metal catalyst having a low adsorptivity for carbon monoxide and a second noble metal catalyst layer connected to the first catalyst layer and comprising a second noble metal catalyst having a higher adsorptivity for carbon monoxide than that of the first catalyst layer.
