<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the discharge of an unreacted absorbent to the outside of an absorption tower by raising the level in the tower in conformity to an increase in the previous charge of the absorbent when the load of an exhaust gas source is increased. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas to be treated is introduced into the absorption tower packed with an absorbent, and the sulfur in the exhaust gas is removed by the absorbent. When the absorbent is previously charged by a signal 2 in anticipation of an increase in the amt. of sulfur to be treated, the liq. absorbent level in the tower is raised by a level transmitter 8 in conformity to the previous charge. A level control signal 6 is outputted from a level controller 9, etc., as an absorbent discharge rate command signal 1a to correct the basic signal 1 of the absorbent discharge rate command. A value 12 is adjusted by the signal through a flow controller 11, and the discharge of the unreacted absorbent to the outside of the tower is reduced. As a result, the charged liq. absorbent is effectively utilized in the tower.</p> |
