<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ablation catheter with a balloon capable of being used safely and facilitating the ablation at the openings of pulmonary veins. <P>SOLUTION: The ablation catheter with the balloon is equipped with the balloon, which has a small diameter part on the leading end side thereof and becomes a regular cone shape of which the leading end is present ahead of the leading end of an inner tube and the diameter becomes gradually larger from the small diameter part of the balloon to the rear end thereof, the lead wire electrically connected to a high frequency current supply electrode and covered with a protective cover material with a low specific inductive capacity, the temperature sensor embedded in the high frequency current supply electrode, the lead wire connected to the temperature sensor and covered with a protective cover material with the low specific inductive capacity and a fixing holder for fixing the temperature sensor at the predetermined position in the balloon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
