METHOD OF TRICARBONYL (ALKADIENE-1-01)-IRON DERIVATIVES PREPARATION

Derivatives of tricarbonyl (alkadiene-l-ol)-iron of general formula I are prepared by reaction of any of the isomers of the derivative of alkadiene-l-ol or their mixtures of general formula II with pentacarbonyl of iron in an inert anhydrous organic solvent and at a temperature of 140 degrees C. The compounds are usable for preparation of E,E-isomer of simple admixtures of other isomers and as propheromones for monitoring, mass trapping or disorientation of insect pests.<IMAGE>
