PURPOSE:To obtain a formed product of cement motar having light weight and ordinary strength by mixing specific fibers or chips to cement and aggregate, filling the mixture in a mold, scattering a specific synthetic resin and water to the surface of the filled mixture, subjecting to compression molding and heat-treating the product. CONSTITUTION:The fiber or chip to be used in the present process is made of a polyolefin having a fiber length of 0.1mm or a chip diameter of about l-5mm and produced by opening melt-spun fibers or crushing a sheet or bulk in the form of chips. The synthetic resin is a mixture of a polyolefin and a conjugated diene polymer and/or a conjugated diene polymer having a double- layer structure including a polyolefin and the weight ratio is 40/60 to 80/20. The mixing ratios of the components in the formed product is preferably 30-70 pts.wt. of cement, <=15 pts.wt. of fiber or chip, 10-70 pts.wt. of aggregate, <=10 pts.wt. (in terms of solid component) of synthetic resin emulsion and <=20 pts.wt. of water. The formed product is produced by mixing the fiber or chip with cement and aggregate, filling the mixture in a mold, scattering the synthetic resin emulsion and water to the surface of the mixture, forming under pressure and heat-treating the formed product after curing. |
